# Working hours

Time zone, schedule by day, and auto-reply outside working hours

Tab **Working hours** defines when the agent responds on its own and what to write to the client outside working hours.

## How to open

**Channels → channel → Edit → Working hours**

## Time zone

Field **Specify the time zone in which the AI agent will operate**. All intervals below are counted in this time zone.

Example in the dashboard: `Europe/Moscow`.

## Schedule

Block **Working hours** with the master toggle on the right. If it is off, the schedule does not apply — the agent responds 24/7.

Caption in the dashboard: “Specify the time intervals during which the AI agent should be active.”

For each day of the week:

| Item            | Why                                                                   |
| --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Day toggle | On this day, the agent works according to the interval. Off — day off |
| **from … to …** | Active hours. Example: from 09:00 to 18:00                            |
| Trash           | Delete interval                                                       |
| Plus | Add another interval on the same day |
| Copying | Copy the interval to other days |

In the dashboard example, Mon–Fri are enabled from 09:00 to 18:00, Sat and Sun are disabled.

## Auto-reply outside working hours

Checkbox **Enable auto-reply to customer messages outside working hours**. If enabled, the client immediately receives the fixed text from the field **Auto-reply**.

Example: `I will reply to you Mon–Fri from 09:00 Moscow time`

## Accumulated messages

Checkbox **Reply to accumulated messages after work resumes**. If enabled, after the shift starts, the agent will handle the messages that came in at night or on weekends on its own.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.athenachat.ai/documentation/documentation-en/features/agent-setup/working-hours.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
