# Test chat

Test the agent **before launching on real customers**. The test chat shows how the bot responds to your instructions, knowledge base, and tables — without risk to live conversations.

## Where to find it

**Action:** Open **Channels → your channel → Edit**. The test chat is located **on the right** on the settings page.

## Step 1 — Connect the knowledge base

**Action:** Before testing, make sure a knowledge base is linked to the channel and, if needed, a table.

**Action:** Write the questions your customers ask: FAQ, objections, price request, service booking.
